WWFM The Classical Network will wrap up a daylong celebration of Bach’s greatest masterpieces with a live broadcast of an organ concert featuring organists Eric Plutz, Ken Cowan and Joan Lippincott on Friday, March 26.

The organists will perform on the Joe R. Engle organ in the Miller Chapel on the campus of the Princeton Theological Seminary, 64 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ. The concert and live broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. and will be hosted on location by WWFM’s Alice Weiss and Bill Zagorski. The concert is open to the public, and doors open at 7 p.m.

The concert will be the finale of The Classical Network’s all-day tribute to Bach’s music, which will kick off at 7 a.m. The station’s hosts will spend the day featuring Bach’s classic masterpieces, music from the St. Matthew Passion, Mass in b minor, cantatas as well as the great orchestral, chamber and keyboards works.

The day will also cap the station’s latest innovative efforts to raise money from listeners without week-long pledge drives. The Classical Network has launched a campaign to attract 500 new or renewing members. If that point is reached before Friday, March 26, the entire day will consist of nothing but the music of J.S. Bach, whose birthday is March 21. If not, the station will air brief requests for support throughout the day until its goal is met, at which time it will switch to an all-music celebration.
